Off season

Our off season officially began Monday with meetings with the trainer to figure out our individual goals. Every player on the team has big goals to reach from gaining weight to losing weight. I’ve been watching game film from my sophomore year to my junior year. The biggest difference, my weight. I gained 10 lbs and didn’t do anything for about a month when I hurt my back earlier this year and it affected my play throughout the season while my back was an on going problem. My goal is to lose 15-20 lbs and decrease my body fat. I’m extremely focused on obtaining these goals because my senior year is my last year to make a statement. People always talk about how fast your 4 years go and this year snuck up on me. I started my off season with 2 workouts a day in the gym, cardio, and weights. I’ll continue this and continue to work towards becoming a leader for this team on and off the court because that’s what this team needs. I just planned my summer schedule and I’ll be going straight to Seattle after season to work with a trainer for 2 weeks, onto Canada to host 2 clinics for kids, then to Alaska to host my annual camp and finally ending in California working out with Green Room Training http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agGwD6mPm5k. We have to be back for summer schoool and workouts June 18th. I’ll check in soon… be sure to FOLLOW my blog and stay updated!
